Job summary

MicroSourcing in Taguig City is hiring a Medical Coding Supervisor – Inpatient DRG to oversee daily inpatient coding operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant code assignments.

Lead coding staff, monitor SLAs and KPIs, conduct audits for ICD-10 and CMS/OIG compliance, and collaborate with CDI, HIM and Revenue Integrity to ensure clean claim generation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IP DRG medical coding with 1+ year in supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Active CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification.
• Strong knowledge of MS-DRG/APR DRG, POA, SOI, and ROM indicators.
• Excellent English communication skills (CEFR B2).
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inpatient coding staff including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitor workflows to meet SLAs and KPIs (productivity, accuracy, turnaround time).
• Resolve at-risk accounts and coding escalations per client policy.
• Oversee coding audits and accuracy reviews for ICD-10/CMS–OIG compliance.
• Collaborate with CDI, HIM, and Revenue Integrity teams for clean claim generation.
• Provide ongoing coder education on updates, documentation changes, and audit findings.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Your Role

As a Medical Coding Supervisor – Inpatient DRG, you will oversee daily coding operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support inpatient coding staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
• Monitor workflows to ensure SLAs and KPIs (productivity, accuracy, turnaround time) are met
• Resolve at-risk accounts and coding escalations in line with client policies
• Oversee coding audits and accuracy reviews, ensuring compliance with ICD-10 and CMS/OIG regulations
• Collaborate with CDI, HIM, and Revenue Integrity teams for clean claim generation
• Provide ongoing coder education on updates, documentation changes, and audit findings
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of IP DRG medical coding experience and 1+ year in a supervisory role
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Active CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, MS-DRG/APR DRG, POA, SOI, and ROM indicators
• Excellent English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2)
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech

Preferred Skills

• Active PHRN or USRN license
• Experience with CAC, 3M/Solventum encoders, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical thinking and decision‑making skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and patient data protection
