Job summary

MicroSourcing, located in BGC, Taguig City, is seeking a Medical Coding Supervisor for inpatient DRG operations. The role focuses on overseeing daily inpatient coding, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant diagnosis and procedure coding across teams.

The ideal candidate holds at least 3 years IP DRG coding experience with supervisory exposure, a Health Information Management degree, and CCS/CIC/CDIP credentials. Proficiency with EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IP DRG medical coding experience with supervision
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
• Active CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification and English at CEFR B2 level

Responsibilities

• Supervise inpatient coding staff: hiring, onboarding, scheduling and reviewing performance
• Ensure SLA and KPI compliance in daily coding workflows
• Handle coding escalations and client policy adherence for at-risk accounts
• Oversee ICD-10/DM coding audits and accuracy reviews per CMS/OIG
• Coordinate with CDI/HIM/Revenue Integrity teams for clean claim generation
• Provide coder education on updates and audit findings
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for accurate and timely documentation

Your Role

Oversee daily inpatient medical coding operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support inpatient coding staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
• Monitor workflows to ensure SLA and KPI compliance
• Resolve at-risk accounts and coding escalations in line with client policies
• Oversee coding audits and accuracy reviews, ensuring compliance with ICD‑10 and CMS/OIG regulations
• Collaborate with CDI, HIM, and Revenue Integrity teams for clean claim generation
• Provide ongoing coder education on updates, documentation changes, and audit findings
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of IP DRG medical coding experience and 1+ year in a supervisory role
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Active CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, MS‑DRG/APR DRG, POA, SOI, and ROM indicators
• Excellent English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2)
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech

Preferred Qualifications

• Active PHRN or USRN license
• Experience with CAC, 3M/Solventum encoders, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and patient data protection
