• Monitor shipment status and follow up on delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company import policies.
• Oversee inbound delivery details and documents per Brenntag policies.
• Orient brokers on safety practices and communicate updates to warehouse staff.
• Evaluate broker performance and suggest process improvements to optimize inbound process.
• Monitor supplier performance to meet delivery commitments and quality standards.
• Act as liaison between internal departments and external parties and provide shipment updates.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Importation Handling

• Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely import of goods.

• Prepare and review shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, import permits, etc.)

• Monitor shipment status and follow up on delays or issues

• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company import policies.

• Oversee the accuracy of inbound delivery details and documents in accordance to Brenntag policies

• Orients brokers of safety practices and guides and ensures that any update applicable to Warehouse is immediately and properly communicated

• Evaluates efficiency and compliance of brokers; recommends process/ system improvements to Logistics Assistant Manager to optimize the inbound process.

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure delivery commitments, quality standards, and contractual obligations are met.

1. Communication and Coordination

• Act as liaison between internal departments (e.g. Purchasing, Finance, Warehouse, Commercial Business Units) and external parties.

• Provide updates on shipments status and to relevant stakeholders. Provide email reports to SPA, Sales Personnel, and Warehouse concerned personnel for any non-conformance notice from the shipment. Provide pictures as evidence.

1. Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on import activities and logistics cost analysis.

1. Third-Party Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with the brokers

• Conduct periodic 3PL performance reviews covering service levels and compliance.
