About the role

RVS CARGO SERVICES INC. is seeking an experienced Import Trucking Dispatcher to join our dynamic freight and cargo forwarding team. This is a full-time position based in our Binondo Manila City office in Metro Manila. As an Import Trucking Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the movement of imported cargo, ensuring efficient delivery operations and maintaining strong relationships with logistics partners. This position is instrumental in supporting our cargo forwarding operations and directly impacts our ability to meet client expectations and delivery commitments.

What you'll be doing

• Dispatching and coordinating import truck movements to ensure timely and efficient cargo delivery




• Planning optimal routes for trucks carrying imported goods, considering traffic conditions, delivery schedules and vehicle capacity




• Communicating with truck drivers, warehouse staff and clients to provide real-time updates on shipment status and estimated delivery times




• Managing dispatch schedules and creating daily assignments for available trucking resources




• Monitoring truck movements and responding promptly to any delays, breakdowns or operational issues




• Preparing and maintaining accurate records of shipments, routes, delivery confirmations and vehicle utilisation




• Coordinating with customs clearance teams to ensure imported cargo is cleared and ready for timely dispatch




• Liaising with clients regarding delivery schedules, cargo details and any special handling requirements




• Optimising fleet utilisation to reduce costs whilst maintaining service quality standards




• Troubleshooting logistical challenges and implementing solutions to minimise delays

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics coordination role, preferably within freight forwarding or cargo operations




• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, documentation requirements and customs regulations in the Philippines




• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including drivers, warehouse teams and clients




• Proficiency in logistics management software and systems, with strong computer literacy




• Outstanding organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments and dispatches simultaneously




• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure




• Familiarity with Metro Manila geography and traffic patterns




• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation




• Physical ability to remain alert during extended working hours in a dynamic environment




• Preferably, experience with freight forwarding companies or international cargo operations
