Johnson Audio and Video Electronics Corporation seeks an experienced IMPEX Officer to manage import and export operations, ensuring timely and compliant movement of materials while coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented IMPEX Officer to manage the company’s import and export operations. The position will be responsible for ensuring the timely and compliant movement of materials, equipment, and finished goods while coordinating closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, PEZA, and internal departments.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of import/export processes, customs documentation, PEZA requirements, and international logistics, preferably within an electronics or manufacturing environment.
Manage end-to-end import and export transactions, from shipment planning and documentation to customs clearance and final delivery.
Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of import/export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, permits, and other required documents.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, airlines, and logistics providers to ensure smooth and timely shipments.
Monitor shipment schedules, customs clearance, delivery status, and potential delays, and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable PEZA, Bureau of Customs, and other government import/export regulations and requirements.
Handle and monitor PEZA-related import/export documentation and transactions, including the proper recording and submission of required documents.
Coordinate with internal departments such as Warehouse, Production, Finance, Engineering, and Accounting to ensure proper planning and timely movement of materials and equipment.
Review shipping and customs-related charges and coordinate with Finance for proper and timely processing of payments.
Monitor and resolve discrepancies involving quantity, documentation, shipment details, customs requirements, and delivery issues.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all import/export transactions for audit, reporting, and compliance purposes.
Prepare regular IMPEX reports, shipment monitoring reports, and other management reports as required.
Monitor changes in customs, PEZA, and import/export regulations and ensure that company procedures remain compliant.
Develop and improve IMPEX procedures and controls to improve cost efficiency, shipment lead time, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Provide guidance and support to other IMPEX personnel and coordinate the proper execution of daily import/export activities.
Work closely with management and relevant departments in resolving complex logistics, customs, and compliance issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Import/Export, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics company.
Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs documentation, and international shipping processes.
Experience handling PEZA-related import/export transactions is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Bureau of Customs regulations and procedures is an advantage.
Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and logistics providers.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly in reviewing shipping and regulatory documents.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with electronics manufacturing and the importation of raw materials, components, machinery, and equipment.
Experience with PEZA electronic systems/processes and customs clearance procedures.
Experience in importation cost analysis and shipment optimization.
