Verde Carbon Capture Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IMPEX (Import & Export) Staff to oversee the importation and exportation of laboratory equipment, scientific supplies, sampling materials, and other company assets. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with customs regulations, coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and facilitate the timely movement of shipments to support the company's research and operational activities.
Process and monitor import and export shipments from origin to final delivery.
Prepare and review import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other shipping documents.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, airlines, suppliers, and government agencies regarding shipment status and customs clearance.
Ensure compliance with Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulations and other applicable government requirements.
Process permits, licenses, and other documentary requirements for imported and exported goods.
Coordinate the importation of laboratory equipment, scientific instruments, sample containers, glass vials, laboratory consumables, field equipment, and other research-related materials.
Track shipment schedules and provide timely updates to concerned departments.
Verify shipment documents to ensure accuracy and completeness before customs processing.
Monitor freight charges, duties, taxes, and other logistics-related expenses.
Maintain organized records of import and export transactions.
Resolve shipment delays, customs issues, and documentation discrepancies.
Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure timely availability of imported materials.
Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
At least 1–2 years of experience in Import & Export, Customs, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics.
Knowledgeable in import/export documentation and customs clearance procedures.
Familiarity with international shipping terms (Incoterms), freight forwarding, and customs regulations.
Experience handling laboratory equipment, scientific supplies, or technical imports is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Able to manage multiple shipments while meeting deadlines.
Experience coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
Knowledge of importing scientific equipment, laboratory consumables, chemicals (where applicable), or environmental monitoring equipment is an advantage.
Experience using ERP or logistics management systems is a plus.
