Job summary

GUS Education PH in Bridgetowne, Quezon City, is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist for a hybrid role. You will perform monthly bank and GL reconciliations, resolve unreconciled items, and collaborate across AP/AR/Treasury to ensure accurate financial records.

The role requires 2–3 years of reconciliation experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong Excel skills. Hybrid setup with onsite initial period and relocation to hybrid after review, based in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in bank/account reconciliation or GL reconciliation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/MDynamics) is a plus.
• Banking industry experience or high-volume transactions is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with high data accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and cross-team coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Account & bank reconciliation on a monthly basis with GL alignment.
• Reconcile customer payments, supplier payments, and other GL accounts.
• Ensure accounts are included in reconciliation processes and meet deadlines.
• Research, investigate, and resolve unreconciled items and discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries to correct discrepancies.
• Monitor aged reconciling items and drive timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Treasury, Payroll, and Finance teams for data.
• Maintain audit-ready reconciliation schedules and documentation.
• Prepare variance analyses and month-/quarter-/year-end reports.
• Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and timeliness.
