Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration, and related systems across offices and facilities in Metro Manila. The role involves ordering parts, coordinating with maintenance teams, and performing welding for installations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Troubleshooting of refrigeration and aircon (HVAC).
• TESDA NCII certification is required.
• Knowledgeable in welding and oxyacetylene welds.
• At least 1 year experience in repair and replacement of defective parts for aircon, refrigeration and cold storage.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates maintenance of air-conditioning units, lighting, and electrical equipment.
• Coordinates with building maintenance for parts purchases.
• Orders aircon parts for stock or emergency purchases.
• Recommends replacement of old/defective units when repairs cost more than new.
• Schedules general cleaning of AC units.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Monitors operation of AC units according to shift schedules.
• Performs welding for installation/repair of equipment.
• Follows preventive maintenance schedules for leaks, parts, and compressors.
• Transfers manual switches and monitors generator operation during brownouts.
• Cleans air conditioning units daily.
• Installs outlets, lighting, and office equipment in new/renovated offices.
• Assists HVAC Technician (Cold Storage) and contractors on new installations.
• Maintains daily monitoring checklist for Cold Storage.
• Operates STP for wastewater processing when plumber not available.
• Implements ISO-related quality system activities.
• Verifies accuracy of information before processing or releasing to customers.
• Performs other duties relevant to the position.

Job description

Job responsibility

• Facilitates the maintenance of all air-conditioning units, lighting fixtures, and all electrical equipment. Coordinates with the building maintenance work group regarding the purchase of parts needed for the repair of office fixture as the need arises.
• Orders aircon parts for the supply or stocks or parts in case of emergency when in time of sudden failure of any air conditioning units within the building.
• Recommends replacement of old and defective units even if repaired the cost maintenance is higher than the cost of new one.
• Coordinates the schedule of general cleaning of ACU for all the departments in the main office and in all stations.
• Responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all refrigeration equipment and air-conditioning system.
• Sees to it that the refrigeration and air-conditioning units are running according to shift schedules.
• Performs welding works to give way in the installation and/or repair of new equipment.
• Sees to it that the maintenance schedules are followed.
• Inspect of leaks, defective parts, refrigerant, cooling fan's performance and compressor according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Transfer manual switches and monitor generator operation during brownout.
• Responsible for the General Cleaning of all Aircon.
• Installation of outlets, lighting and other office equipment to the new or renovated offices in Cargohaus Bldg. and satellite offices.
• Responsible for repair replaces defective lighting fixtures.
• Assist in HVAC Technician (Cold Storage).
• Assist Contractor on the installation of new unit of Aircon.
• Responsible for the Daily Monitoring Checklist of Cold Storage.
• Responsible for the operation of STP for the Processing of wastewater in case of Plumber in not around.

ADDITIONAL ASSIGNED SPECIAL DUTIES

• Performs and/or implements quality system and ISO-related activities.
• Responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information before processing or releasing to internal or external customer.
• Performs other duties substantially relevant to the position.

Qualifications: (Educational/Work Experience)

• Knowledge in Trouble shooting of Ref and Aircon (HVAC)
• Must have TESDA Certificate NCII
• Knowledgeable in Welding and Oxyacetylene welds.
• At least one (1) year work related experience particularly in repair and replacement of defective parts aircon, ref and Cold storage.
• Good inter-personal skills required.
• Can work independent with minimal supervision.
