Job description

The HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the organization across three key HR pillars:Employee Relations (ER),HR Compliance, andTraining & Performance Management. The role is responsible for fostering a compliant, fair, and high-performance workplace through effective management of employee issues, policy adherence, and initiatives that drive employee engagement and continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations (ER) Case Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into ER cases including harassment, misconduct, and workplace policy violations.
  • Ensure due process and documentation in handling corrective and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on ER matters, local labor laws, and company policies.
  • Maintain and update the case management tracking system and ensure confidentiality and proper documentation.
2. HR Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and company HR policies.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation and reports related to labor and employment.
  • Keep policies up-to-date and aligned with legislative updates and best practices.
  • Develop and implement compliance training for employees and managers.
  • Monitor contractual employee arrangements and ensure all employment records and statutory filings are complete and compliant.
3. Training Development & Performance Management
  • Identify required training programs for roles that need certification and assist employees with registration through external training providers.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and department heads to assess training needs and develop learning solutions to address skill gaps.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS).
  • Facilitate employee engagement surveys, feedback sessions, and related improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in talent management programs including succession planning, competency development, and career pathing.
  • Partner with supervisors and department managers in executing learning and development plans.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive HR experience with focus on Employee Relations and HR compliance in the Philippines.
  • Experience in performance management systems and OD initiatives is strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE guidelines, and employment best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to conduct sensitive investigations with neutrality and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
