Job summary

MicroSourcing in Quezon City is seeking an HR Payroll and Administration Manager to lead Australian payroll operations and compliance from our Eastwood site. You will supervise the AU compliance team, interpret Modern Awards, perform wage audits, manage contracts, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS records, and support leadership with PIPs and investigations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years AU payroll & award experience managing payroll operations, awards, and penalties.
• Deep knowledge of Australian Fair Work Act, NES, superannuation, and leave accruals.
• Experience auditing multi-site rosters against penalties, fatigue rules, and engagement thresholds.
• Proven offshore leadership coaching AU-facing payroll/compliance teams (BPO/SSS).
• Experience drafting compliant Australian contracts and maintaining audit-ready HR records.

Your Role

As a HR Payroll and Administration Manager, you will:

• Australian Payroll Leadership: Oversee payroll processing prepared by the Payroll Officer; co-sign pay runs with the CFO while ensuring correct superannuation, leave accruals, termination pays, and tax treatments.
• Modern Award Interpretation & Wage Audits: Apply and interpret relevant Australian Modern Awards (General Retail Industry Award, Fuel Industry Awards, Clerks Award); conduct wage audits and implement Fair Work updates immediately.
• Roster Validation & Fatigue Governance: Direct the compliance team (Deputies) in auditing site rosters across 400+ AU locations to verify minimum shift lengths, break rules, overtime, weekend/night penalties, and fatigue limits.
• End-to-End HR Administration & ER Support: Draft employment contracts, manage onboarding/offboarding, maintain HRIS records, and support Australian HR leadership with performance improvement plans (PIPs), disciplinary meetings, and workplace investigations.
• Commission Agent Site Compliance: Oversee compliance audits for site Commission Agent Agreements, reviewing site documentation, workplace obligations, and contractual adherence.
• Team Leadership & Off-Shore Management: Supervise, train, and manage the Philippines-based AU compliance support team, including the Payroll Officer and Roster & Wage Compliance Deputies.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• 10+ Years AU Payroll & Award Experience: Minimum of 10 years of direct experience managing Australian payroll operations, complex Modern Award interpretations, and penalty rate mechanics.
• Fair Work Act & IR Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Australian Fair Work Act, NES (National Employment Standards), superannuation guarantees, and statutory leave accruals.
• Roster Compliance Auditing: Proven track record in validating multi-site retail or fuel rosters against penalty structures, minimum engagement rules, and fatigue thresholds.
• Offshore Leadership & BPO Delivery: Demonstrated success supervising and coaching AU-facing payroll and compliance teams in a BPO or Shared Services environment.
• Employee Relations & Governance: Experience drafting compliant Australian employment contracts, handling performance management documentation, and maintaining audit-ready HR records.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Direct prior experience in the Australian retail, fuel/petroleum, QSR, or multi-site hospitality sectors.
• Experience with Australian payroll and workforce management platforms (e.g., Deputy, TANDA, Kronos, Preceda, Chris21, or Employment Hero).
• Formal tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration.
• Experience auditing Commission Agent or franchise compliance frameworks within multi-site networks.
