Job summary

TAPA KING INC. in Olongapo City, Zambales, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead HR strategy, policies, and workforce management. This full-time role focuses on policy development, employee relations, recruitment, and fostering a positive culture to support business goals.

You will implement HR programs, maintain records, ensure compliance with Philippine labour laws, and guide line managers on people practices while driving engagement and retention across the organization.

Qualifications

• Recognised HR qualification or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in a generalist HR role or HR consulting capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine labour laws and compliance requirements.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and organisational development.
• Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and handbooks in compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, selection and onboarding of new employees.
• Oversee employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution and employee development initiatives.
• Administer compensation and benefits programmes, including payroll coordination, leave management and benefits administration.
• Conduct training needs assessments and develop or source training programmes to support employee skill development and career progression.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation in compliance with data protection regulations.
• Manage employee engagement activities and foster a positive workplace culture through initiatives such as team building and recognition programmes.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, labour standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Provide HR support and guidance to line managers on people-related matters and best practices.
• Analyse HR metrics and reporting on workforce trends to inform strategic decision-making.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to join our team in Olongapo City, Zambales. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in shaping our human resources strategy and ensuring the effective management of our workforce. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, overseeing recruitment initiatives, and fostering a positive organisational culture. This role is integral to supporting our business objectives and driving employee engagement and retention across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

1. A recognised HR qualification such as a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a generalist HR role or HR consulting capacity
3. Strong knowledge of Philippine labour laws, employment regulations and compliance requirements
4. Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and organisational development
5. Proficiency in HR systems and databases, with the ability to utilise HR software and MS Office applications effectively
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly with employees at all levels
7. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the capacity to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
8. Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing HR solutions
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail
10. A commitment to confidentiality, integrity and ethical practice in all HR matters
11. Preferred experience in a similar industry or within a dynamic, fast-paced organisational environment
