The HR Generalist (Compensation and Benefits) will manage our end-to-end semi-monthly payroll ecosystem. You will oversee operational timekeeping, maintain corporate HMO metrics, mitigate structural and meticulously manage the complete offboarding clearance, final pay, and leave encashment workflows.
1. Strategic Compensation, Compliance & Exit Modeling
Wage Distortion Resolution: Proactively audit our structural pay scale against regional DOLE Wage Orders. Apply standardized mathematical models (such as the Pineda Formula) to correct pay compression between tiers.
Mandatory Benefit Trend Forecasting: Maintain an up-to-date pulse on modern legislative updates in statutory benefits to design tax-efficient total rewards architectures.
Leave Credit Cash Conversion: Formulate and execute the annual or exit-bound cash conversion (monetization) of unused VL/SL credits. Ensure computations precisely match DOLE guidelines (basic salary divided by the correct factor based on work schedule) and that tax exemptions for the first 10 days of converted vacation leaves are perfectly applied.
Strategic Benefit Recommendations: Analyze employee demographics, HRIS leave utilization data, and industry benchmarks to identify gaps in our current rewards structure. Formulate data-driven proposals and present actionable recommendations to the HR Manager for competitive benefit enhancements (e.g., introduction of wellness allowances, flexible benefit menus, or tiered HMO plans for dependents).
2. Timekeeping and HRIS Administration
Automated System Ownership: Act as the primary technical administrator for the HRIS. Handle user onboarding, roster configuration, shift profile mapping, and deduction profiles.
Timekeeping Analytics: Audit weekly biometric and manual attendance exceptions within the HRIS. Track, correct, and clear missing punch indicators, retroactively applied leaves, official business (OB) slips, and overtime allocations.
Private Benefit Governance: Serve as our point person for our HMO provider. Oversee the dynamic enrollment of regularized employees and their dependents, and coordinate rapid deletions to optimize premiums.
Statement Audits: Perform meticulous monthly reconciliations of HMO Statements of Account (SOA) against active employee rosters to catch overbilling errors early.
Emergency Medical Liaising: Act as an empathetic guide for employees traversing maximum benefit limit queries, dental/optical coverage scopes and Letters of Authorization (LOA).
Government Remittances: Process, reconcile, and file monthly contributions and loan payments for SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG (HDMF) portals. Assist employees with sickness notifications and maternity claims.
Final Pay Calculation: Compute accurate and compliant final pay, back pay, and pro-rated 13th-month pay for separating employees, facilitating the swift release of quitclaims and tax forms (Form 2316).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
System Mastery: At least 2 years of direct, hands-on administrative application with Sprout HR and Sprout Payroll.
Core Experience: 3-5 years of specialized experience in corporate Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll operations in the Philippines. Strong preference for candidates from the construction, manufacturing, engineering, or logistics sectors.
Analytical Skills: Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, nested formulas) for salary modeling, mathematical wage-distortion calculations, and granular exit separation computations.
Regulatory Compliance: Deep familiarity with the Philippine Labor Code, SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG portals, BIR taxation tiers, and standard DOLE labor advisories concerning final pay release timelines and leave monetization laws.
