Job summary

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to oversee payroll, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR analytics.

The successful candidate will balance operational excellence with employee engagement in a large, unionized workplace. The role requires strong Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Excel), Power BI and Power Apps, plus excellent English and Filipino communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, business, or related field required.
  • 2–3 years across all major HR facets including payroll, ER, recruitment, and training.
  • Strong MS Excel and Power BI/Power Apps skills preferred.
  • Excellent English and Filipino communication abilities.
  • Experience in a large, unionized environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payroll outcomes.
  • Handle government-mmandated benefits and employee welfare programs.
  • Assist recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Design and maintain Training Needs Surveys and Training Catalogs.
  • Monitor training progress and develop HR analytics reports.
  • Prepare HRMIS reports and drive data-driven process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and labor regulations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to oversee a wide range of human resources functions, including payroll, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR analytics. The ideal candidate is a confident, compassionate, and creative HR professional who can balance operational excellence with employee engagement while contributing innovative ideas to continuously improve HR services.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations
  • Monitor and manage the HR department budget.

  • Process payroll accurately and on time.

  • Process government-mandated benefits and other employee welfare and benefits programs.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.

Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Listen to employee concerns, complaints, and grievances and provide appropriate solutions.

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective employee relations practices.

  • Support initiatives that improve employee engagement and overall workplace experience.

Recruitment & Talent Management
  • Assist in recruitment, selection, and hiring activities.

  • Support onboarding and integration of new employees.

  • Conduct and coordinate employee evaluations and performance assessments.

Learning & Development
  • Formulate and administer Training Needs Surveys (TNS).

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify organizational and employee development requirements.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Training Catalog for regular employees.

  • Monitor the training and development progress of all employees.

HR Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare and generate HRMIS reports to support management decision-making.

  • Utilize data and analytics to recommend HR process improvements and workforce initiatives.

  • Develop reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, and related tools.

Continuous Improvement
  • Introduce new ideas, programs, and initiatives to enhance HR services and employee experience.

  • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience across all major HR facets, including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, payroll, and compensation and benefits.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.

  • Experience using Power BI, Power Apps, and similar business intelligence or automation tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.

  • Confident, compassionate, and creative in handling HR initiatives and employee concerns.

  • Experience working in a large, unionized company is an advantage.
