Job summary

Connext is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to process payroll for assigned US clients and to serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries.

You will enter period payroll data accurately, validate for accuracy, close and deliver outputs on time, and support tax payments while ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Bachelor degree and at least one year in payroll are required; this role offers night differential, bonuses, life and HMO insurance, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year in payroll processing experience.
• Background in payroll, accounting, or related services.
• Knowledge in payroll processes and payroll system navigation.

Responsibilities

• Enter pay period payroll information accurately into the payroll system.
• Process and validate payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
• Close, print, and arrange timely delivery of payroll outputs.
• Assist in processing payroll tax payments.
• Review payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
• Load new company information into payroll software.
• Enter company, employee, and payroll history data for new clients.
• Program payroll system to ensure accurate payroll setup and configuration.
• Interpret and translate payroll laws into system functions.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned payroll clients.
• Respond to payroll-related questions and provide clear guidance on wage and hour laws.
• Help clients understand how payroll regulations affect their HR and payroll processes.
• Maintain professional communication and ensure high client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with sales and client service teams to facilitate new client onboarding.
• Ensure payroll accuracy to maintain compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
• Maintain strong attention to detail when handling sensitive payroll data.
