About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Staff/Room Attendant to join our team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. As a Housekeeping Staff/Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort and presentation of our guest rooms and common areas. Your work directly impacts guest satisfaction and contributes to the overall success and reputation of our establishment. This role is essential to ensuring our guests enjoy a welcoming and hygienic environment during their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising all surfaces

• Change bed linens and ensure all bedding is fresh, wrinkle-free and properly arranged

• Restock guest amenities such as toiletries, towels, notepads and other supplies

• Empty and dispose of waste from guest rooms and common areas in accordance with environmental and safety protocols

• Clean and maintain bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers and mirrors

• Report any maintenance issues, damage or broken items to management immediately

• Respond promptly to guest requests and special cleaning needs

• Maintain organisation of cleaning supplies and equipment

• Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations and infection control procedures

• Work efficiently to meet daily room cleaning targets whilst maintaining quality standards

• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding room status and any concerns

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Staff, Room Attendant or similar cleaning role in a hospitality environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

• Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending and cleaning for extended periods

• Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently to meet daily targets

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic

• Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills and responsiveness to feedback

• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with awareness of health and safety procedures

• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required

• Preferably fluent in English, with ability to communicate with international guests
