Qualifications

Completed qualification in Information Technology, Networks & Systems Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in network administration and technical support within a business or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux server environments.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
Competence in hardware troubleshooting and support for desktops, laptops, and printers.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to system uptime and security.
Preferred: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent industry-recognised qualifications
Preferred: Experience in hotel or hospitality IT systems

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Provide first and second-level technical support to hotel staff and guests, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches to ensure data security and system stability across all hotel systems.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and peripheral devices throughout the hotel property.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with hotel security policies.
Document all technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations in the hotel’s IT ticketing system.
Respond promptly to technical support requests and maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
Assist with network security implementation and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
Collaborate with external IT vendors and service providers when specialised support is required.
Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades and system implementations as directed.
