Responsibilities

• Refers concerns, complications, and laboratory values to the in-house physician.
• Discusses patient concerns and provides health education.
• Verifies prescribed medications and notifies doctors of health changes.
• Reviews laboratory schedules and reminds patients of next due tests.
• Supervises patient care.
• Acts as a role model by delivering nursing care using nursing processes.
• Collaborates with Head Nurse and in-house physicians on care management.
• Monitors clinical supplies.

Hemodialysis Nurses provides specialized care to patients with kidney failure, managing their dialysis treatments, monitoring their health, and educating them about their condition.

1. a. Assists patients with kidney failure through hemodialysis treatment.
2. b. Initiates, monitors, and terminates hemodialysis treatment.
3. c. Works closely with other medical staff to ensure that the patient is safe while undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
4. d. Refer any concerns, complications, laboratory values to the In-house Physician/Attending Nephrologist.
5. e. Discusses patient’s concern and doing the health teachings to patient.
6. f. Verify that patients are taking all prescribed medications, advising doctors of any significant change in patient’s health.
7. g. Reviews patient’s laboratory schedules (Routine laboratories and hepatitis profile) and reminds them for next due schedule.
8. h. Supervision of patient care
9. i. Act as role model by giving nursing care to patients using nursing skills and nursing process.
10. j. Collaborates with the Head Nurse and In-house physicians regarding care management of patients.
