Job summary

Abenson Ventures, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Manager - Solar Projects to lead our solar energy initiatives in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

This full-time role reports to senior leadership and balances on-site work with our office environment to meet project demands. You will oversee solar project development, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, cross-functional teams, and compliance with energy regulations to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in project management with at least 5 years in renewable energy, preferably solar.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects from conception to completion.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Philippine energy regulations, renewable incentives, and licensing requirements.
• Technical understanding of solar technology, system design and installation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for solar project portfolio.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, and forecasting for solar initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, operations staff, and contractors.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, government agencies, suppliers, and communities.
• Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in solar energy.
• Lead recruitment, training, and development of PM team.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Prepare reports and presentations on project status and financial performance.
