Job summary

San Miguel Foods in the Philippines seeks an experienced Logistics Leader to plan and implement optimal multi-product stock allocation and inventory levels across consolidated warehouses. The role supports Operations Logistics Managers in procurement, logistics cost management, trade asset management, and warehousing operations.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in Engineering, Accounting or related business field, and has 15 years of supply chain, warehousing and distribution experience

Qualifications

• Must have completed a 4-year degree in Engineering, Accounting, or related business field.
• 15 years of supply chain, warehousing and distribution management experience in food manufacturing or commodities distribution.

Responsibilities

• Logistics Strategy & Execution: Develop, implement, and manage logistics strategies aligned with the company’s supply chain goals and ensure smooth transportation and distribution across the country.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, ensuring training, motivation, and alignment with company objectives.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure service levels and performance.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain and improve KPIs in logistics, such as delivery accuracy, lead times, and cost reduction.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure operations comply with laws, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with procurement, production, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless logistics operations and timely delivery.
• Reporting & Analysis: Regularly analyze logistics data and provide insights to senior management.

Job description

The successful candidate will plan and implement optimal multi-product stock allocation and inventory levels across all consolidated warehouses within the designated area to achieve sales targets while ensuring working capital requirements are met. Provide support and technical expertise to the Operations Logistics Managers in areas such as procurement, logistics cost management, trade asset management, and warehousing operations.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of a 4 year course in Engineering, Accounting or related business course
• At least 15 years on Supply Chain Management/Warehousing and Distribution Management experience gained from a food manufacturing, distribution of commodity products or similar company
• Must be proficient in both oral and written communication
• Work on shifting schedules and be available on-call whenever needed. May travel to any parts of the Philippines, whenever required
