Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking a Head of Engineering, Field Verification in Spain to lead a lean, cross-functional team building a multi-country verification platform. The role owners the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for field verification, enabling scalable, compliant and mobile-first verification workflows for field officers.

The position requires 10+ years in software engineering, 5+ years in leadership, and credibility across backend, web, and mobile.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering with hands-on backend experience.
At least 5 years in engineering leadership, including managing Engineering Managers.
Strong collaboration with product and business stakeholders.
Experience with location/geospatial data and map integrations is a plus.
Experience with compliance, identity, or verification platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the Field Verification platform end to end.
Lead and grow the cross-functional team and expand the organization as scope grows.
Move the platform from keep-the-lights-on to deliberate, prioritized development.
Build operational efficiency: trip/route optimization, task allocation and capacity management.
Own the platform's client-facing surface: APIs and webhooks used by other units.
Deliver a native mobile experience for field officers.
Ensure verification data is structured, auditable and compliant.
Plan for multi-country expansion and multi-market support.
Define architecture standards, processes and metrics; hire and develop engineers and managers.
