Job summary

Moniepoint is hiring a Head of Engineering, Sales & Marketing Tools to lead the in-house platform behind a 50,000-strong sales network and Braze-based customer engagement stack. You will own platform architecture, reliability, and scale to tens of millions of users across markets.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience with at least 5 years leading engineering teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on production Java experience as a practicing engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience managing managers and leading an organization through growth.
• Proven platform engineering experience at scale with distributed systems.
• Experience migrating and re-architecting systems for large user bases (20M+).
• Strong backend skills in high-throughput data-intensive systems, Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building large engineering teams (20+).
• Fintech/payments background is preferred; CRM or SalesTech is a nice-to-have but not required.
• Exposure to customer engagement platforms such as Braze is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a large engineering organization through growth phases.
• Own the architecture and reliability of the Sales & Marketing Tools platform.
• Ensure financial correctness in wallets, commissions, payouts and ledgers at scale.
• Modernise legacy systems and re-architect for 20M+ users across markets.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and sales to drive impact with scalable services.
