Job summary

GrowthAssistant is seeking a Performance Tracking & Tag Management Specialist to lead GTM implementation, QA, and conversion tracking audits for our digital marketing clients. You will own tag strategy, validate events, and coordinate with client teams to align measurements with business goals.

Ideal candidates have agency experience in digital marketing or web development, strong GTM and GA4 skills, and a disciplined approach to QA and documentation.

Qualifications

• Agency background in digital marketing or web design/development.
• Experience with B2B software clients (Series A–D).
• 5+ years managing Google Tag Manager and GA4 events.
• Solid understanding of conversion tracking across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media platforms.
• QA rigor in tracking data vs. reported performance across Google, HubSpot, Pardot, and paid media.
• Documentation experience (SOPs, QA templates, checklists).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with account managers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement, QA, and maintain tags, triggers, and pixels in GTM across client websites.
• Audit and troubleshoot conversion tracking across Google Ads, Meta, and Bing.
• Validate conversion actions to ensure accurate form fills, purchases, or lead events.
• Collaborate with Head of Growth and Marketing Manager to align events with client objectives.
• Audit GTM/marketing scripts and document recommendations to keep or remove.
• Perform regular site performance assessments with the client's development team and report core KPIs (LCP, blocking time).
