We’re looking for a Graduate Software Developer – Document Automation Specialist who will use the Avvoka tool to turn flat Word precedents into automated legal templates. You’ll play a key role in building, quality‑assuring, and refining automated templates for our clients, ensuring they function seamlessly and meet business requirements.
This role is perfect for graduates with a software development, computer science, or related background who want to apply coding fundamentals in a practical, client‑facing environment. You’ll gain experience in workflow logic, structured data handling, and document automation, while collaborating directly with clients and cross‑functional teams to transform complex contracts into structured, dynamic templates.

What you’ll do
Design and build intelligent automated templates
- Turn flat Word precedents into structured, automated templates using Avvoka’s platform.
- Apply coding fundamentals, conditional logic, and variable fields to create reliable and dynamic documents.
- Translate structured instructions and client briefs into functional, scalable automation solutions.
Test, debug, and optimise your creations
- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure templates generate accurately under multiple scenarios.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logic, formatting, or automation errors.
- Maintain reusable, scalable structures that can evolve with client needs.
Collaborate with clients and teams
- Work directly with clients to understand their document automation requirements.
- Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure templates meet best practices.
- Advise on contract structure to improve automation efficiency and clarity.
Enhance and scale existing automation solutions
- Update and improve templates based on feedback and evolving client requirements.
- Implement dynamic fields, integrations, and conditional workflows to support complex contracts.
- Ensure consistency and alignment across templates with client branding and formatting standards.
What success looks like
- Delivered accurate, scalable automated templates that reduced manual drafting errors and time by measurable percentages.
- Successfully translated client requirements into automation solutions, improving client satisfaction and accelerating deployment.
- Maintained and refined template libraries to ensure long‑term usability, consistency, and adaptability.
What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate would have:
- A degree in software development, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong coding fundamentals and logical problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English for client‑facing communication.
- Attention to detail, ownership, and a proactive approach to learning.
Bonus points if
- You have experience with workflow automation, scripting, or low‑code/no‑code platforms.
- You have prior exposure to document or contract automation.
