Job summary

Rakuten Travel is seeking a travel consultant to support local partners from its Makati office. You will use hospitality expertise and bilingual skills to coordinate contracts and promotions with the Japan headquarters, and help deliver online travel solutions for customers.

The role requires proactive initiative, strong communication, and the ability to work across cultures. You will liaise with hotel partners and other stakeholders to grow partnerships and ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in hospitality or related industry.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• Proven track record of driving results in travel or related industry.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactively drive partnership opportunities.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to foresee outcomes.
• Experience in consulting support.
• Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Contract and promotional support: assist with contracts between Japan HQ and hotel partners and promotional activities for customers in Japan.
• Partner analysis: analyze current-state of partners, primarily hotel partners.
• Consulting support: provide guidance related to online travel and accommodation plans and online sales initiatives.
• Headquarters collaboration: coordinate closely with the Japan headquarters.
• Other permitted duties as assigned by Head of the Representative Office within legal scope.
