Job summary

Oceanic Catering in Manila seeks a Travel Consultant to support the Global Operations Director on a day-to-day basis, handling front and mid-office systems and ensuring booking procedures are followed using scripts and rules. You will audit and issue airline tickets, maintain airline information, and assist clients as needed.

You will support accounting on errors, back up travel consultants, and manage crises while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a business travel consultant minimum 2/3 years.
• Excellent knowledge of travel software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems and online booking tools).
• GDS knowledge with Amadeus preferable.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Experience dealing with multinationalities.
• Understanding of Corporate and Marine Travel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.
• Ability to train Face to Face and via Ms Teams.
• Strong computer skills in Amadeus reservation/pricing system, email, word processing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Operations Director on a day-to-day basis.
• Support issues with all front & mid office systems.
• Ensure Travel Consultants adhere to correct booking procedures utilizing scripts & rules in place.
• Auditing and issuance of airline tickets in accordance with airline rules and procedures set by GMT.
• Assist clients and ensure airline information is maintained and disseminated.
• Work with accounting to solve errors and debit memos.
• Back up travel consultants tasks as required.
• Handle crisis management for airline booking incidents and report actions.
