Job summary

American Express in the Philippines is seeking an experienced people leader to oversee the global Business Process Services (BPS) organization within Technology Vendor Management. The role sets strategic direction, builds capability, and drives continuous improvement across a high-volume operating environment.

With 8–12 years in tech infrastructure/vendor management and 5+ years in leadership, you will partner with senior stakeholders, drive transformation, and ensure robust risk governance

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in technology infrastructure vendor management, contract management, sourcing, procurement, and/or third-party risk management.
• 5+ years in leadership, building and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
• Experience leading teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Familiarity with Vendor Management Systems such as SAP Fieldglass, Workday, Beeline, or Coupa.
• Strong strategic leadership with ability to translate priorities into outcomes.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team, creating accountability and continuous improvement.
• Set strategic direction for BPS and translate priorities into objectives and capabilities.
• Build partnerships with Technology, HR, Global Supply Management, Product, Risk, Finance and other stakeholders.
• Champion operational excellence using data to improve performance and drive automation.
• Serve as strategic partner to Product, guiding roadmaps and capability development.
• Provide risk and control leadership with governance and sound decision-making.
• Lead through change, adopting evolving processes, policies, and technology.
• Develop talent and build leadership capability for evolving business needs.
