Job summary

BHP in Manila is seeking a dynamic, customer-oriented professional to join its international commodities team. You will liaise with customers, service providers and commercial staff to execute contracts, coordinate loading, AR/AP and transport, while building strong relationships through clear communication.

The role requires understanding of trade basics, incoterms, governance controls, and the ability to drive process improvements across contracting, shipping documents and SAP.

Qualifications

• Relevant working experience in supply chain management, sales distribution, order fulfilment or letter of credit presentation.
• Understanding of international trade, freight, incoterms, and letters of credit.
• Ability to maintain stakeholder relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP or similar ERP.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with customers, team members, service providers and commercial staff on contract execution, loading, AR/AP and transport.
• Cultivates relationships through effective communication and provides feedback to peers regularly.
• Plans and prioritizes own work, sets priorities and timelines to create value.
• Seeks improvement opportunities and streamlines contracting processes.
• Understands governance and external regulations, escalates risk as needed.
• Understands commercial terms and supports strategy alignment in contracts.
• Delivers clear messages tailored to audiences with appropriate detail.
• Processes marketing requests for all commodities, including billing, laytime, shipping documents and SAP updates.
