Job summary

BHP Group in Manila is seeking a Specialist Sales Operations to support contracting, commercial governance and cross-functional collaboration across commodities. You will handle contract execution, loading coordination and accounts movement while liaising with customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation and ERP skills, plus a proactive mindset to streamline processes and enhance governance across the sales operations function.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain management, sales distribution, order fulfilment or letters of credit.
• Understanding of international trade, freight, distribution, contract law, incoterms and trade instruments like letters of credit.
• Ability to maintain stakeholder relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP or similar ERP systems; process-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with customers, team members, service providers and commercial staff regarding contract execution, loading, accounts receivable/payables and transportation.
• Cultivates positive relationships through effective communication and provides feedback to peers.
• Plan and prioritize work, identify priorities and timeframes to create value.
• Look for opportunities for improvement and streamline contracting processes; participate in cross-functional groups.
• Understand governance controls applicable to contracting and raise risk control deficiencies when needed.
• Understand key commercial terms, connect strategy to contract clauses, and support sales/operations teams.
• Deliver clear messages tailored to different audiences; ensure accuracy of marketing requests, billing, laytime, shipping documents, and SAP updates.
