Job summary

Pebl is seeking a Payroll Specialist II to join our Payroll Operations team in a fully remote capacity. You’ll handle complex payroll matters, lead investigations, and drive accuracy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and external providers to deliver reliable payroll outcomes. You will grow payroll operations, support compliance requirements, and mentor peers while spending most of your time resolving complex issues as a subject

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of payroll experience required.
• Experience managing end-to-end payroll across multiple countries (Americas, EMEA and/or APAC).
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxability rules, deductions, and gross-to-net calculations.
• Proven ability to implement payroll processes and drive automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll exceptions, adjustments, garnishments, deductions, reconciliations, and other complex issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues including quarter-end and year-end processing.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
• Partner with internal teams, providers, and in-country payroll vendors to resolve matters.
• Support payroll process implementations, system updates, and program rollouts.
• Participate in testing payroll system enhancements and updates.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Monitor payroll performance metrics, SLAs and KPIs.
• Provide guidance to other payroll specialists and maintain payroll delivery quality.
• Act as back-up for Payroll Manager and assist employees with complex issues.
