Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced Global Middle Office – Investment Operations Senior Specialist based in Quezon City, Philippines. You will support trade lifecycle activities, ensure accurate settlements, and resolve issues across global investment activities, while driving process improvements and collaborating with traders, brokers, and custodians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related business course.
• Minimum5 years related work experience within Trade Support, Middle Office, Investment Operations and or Fund Accounting.
• Strong knowledge in securities instruments such as Equities, Corporate and Government Bonds, US Treasury bonds, Foreign Exchange (FX) trades, Time Deposits, etc.
• Good analytical and diagnostic skills with knowledge and strong ability to understand process design.
• Ability to work in a time sensitive environment, highly trainable and keen attention to details with a strong analytical ability.
• Capable of building metrics, reports, and presentations as needed by stakeholders or management.
• Good working knowledge in using Bloomberg and other trading applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support and oversight (Trade Matching, Settlements and Post settlements processing and claims).
• Perform first level of quality checking to financial and transactional instructions before being sent out.
• Communicate effectively with brokers, traders, custodians and other third-party vendors to ensure timely settlements and issue resolution.
• Investigate and resolve trade issues or mismatches highlighted in systems or raised by Front Office and Internal Investment teams.
• Resolves and closes positions and cash reconciliations related to trade transactions.
• Develop and maintain enhanced procedures and controls within investment operations.
• Proactively mitigate process gaps or potential issues and participate in cross-skilling assignments.
