Job summary

Manulife Investment Management (HK) Limited is seeking an entry-level Paralegal to support its Investment Law Division across Asia and North America. The role offers hands-on experience with corporate finance, real estate finance, and governance, while providing legal research and drafting support in a global environment.

Under lawyers in the division, you will draft routine documents, assist with filings, track deliverables, and help maintain templates and processes.

Qualifications

JD or completion of at least the second year of a JD program.
Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Draft and review routine legal documents such as NDAs, service agreements, articles of incorporation, by-laws, board resolutions, board minutes, financial reports, fund disclosure documents, and regulatory forms.
Support corporate governance activities, including drafting/executing board resolutions and regulatory filings.
Prepare first drafts of less routine legal documents for further review.
Conduct legal research across investments, funds, employment law, IP, contract law, and governance.
Provide administrative support: organize files, track progress, maintain templates and processes.
