Job summary

J&T Express is seeking a procurement professional in the Philippines (Metro Manila/Taguig) to manage local and international purchases. You will coordinate suppliers, process orders, handle import documentation, and support logistics to ensure timely sourcing and delivery in compliance with company policies.

The role requires a degree in SCM or related fields, 2+ years in procurement or customs, and experience with suppliers, brokers, and freight forwarders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, customs, or related field.
• Experience in local and import procurement operations.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier coordination, and import procedures.
• Experience with suppliers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
• 2+ years in Procurement/Customs or similar field preferred.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or related clearance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requests based on inventory availability and operational needs.
• Review and process purchase orders with proper documentation and timely supplier communication.
• Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers regarding orders, shipment schedules, and procurement concerns.
• Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
• Respond to supplier inquiries regarding order status, changes, cancellations, and delivery concerns.
• Perform sourcing, quotation review, supplier coordination, and order management.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents to expedite deliveries and resolve shipment issues.
• Collaborate with regional procurement teams to align processes and requirements.
• Support import procurement by coordinating documentation and customs requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure policy compliance.
