The role leads month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, reviews major entries, and mentors junior staff, while upholding US GAAP and SOX controls. It prioritizes audit readiness and process improvements to support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities globally, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll entries, intercompany, and other GL tasks.
• Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items, aged balances and exceptions.
• Supervise and coach Senior Accountants and Accountants; onboarding and performance development.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors; coordinate audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, SOX; identify and remediate control gaps.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, AP, and stakeholders to resolve issues and support reporting.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, system enhancements, and automation across accounting.
• Support special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other ad hoc finance initiatives.
