Job summary

Merck Group in Manila's Shared Service Center seeks a Team Lead for General Ledger to oversee a team of 10–15 accountants and ensure accurate month-end close and reporting. You will drive process improvements, ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, and collaborate with local and global finance teams.

The role requires strong SAP experience, a finance degree, and 5–8 years in GL with leadership. On-site work in Taguig with a mid-shift to night-shift schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA accreditation preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive General Ledger experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and tax principles.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10–15 General Ledger Accountants.
• Oversee daily GL operations including month-end close (MEC).
• Ensure accurate reporting and timely delivery of financial data to internal customers.
• Review and approve complex journal entries and reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements and operational excellence in GL processes.
• Collaborate with local finance and global teams to resolve issues.
