Job summary

AutoGlobal Group in Cebu is seeking a Financial Reporting Supervisor to ensure GL integrity, lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes, and review journal entries and reconciliations. You will oversee P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow for all entities and the distributor, validating accuracy before management review.

You will drive variance analysis, dashboard reporting, and KPI preparation, while supervising a five-person team and ensuring compliance with Philippine standards and audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related finance field; CPA license is an advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close — multi-entity or multi-branch consolidation experience; automotive, retail, or distribution industry preferred
• At least 3years in a supervisory capacity, with experience reviewing and developing accounting staff
• Advanced proficiency in NetSuite or SAP — general ledger, journal workflow, period close, and financial reporting (required)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel — pivot tables, lookup functions, Power Query, and reconciliation and consolidation modeling (required)
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Working knowledge of dashboards(view/reporting level) is an advantage
• Detail‑Oriented — spots variances, misclassifications, and unsupported entries before they reach the statements
• Controls‑Minded — holds the line on approvals, segregation of duties, and period locks
• Analytical — explains what is driving movements in the P&L and Balance Sheet, not just that they moved
• Deadline‑Driven — delivers a clean close on the calendar, every month

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Integrity: Owns the accuracy of the general ledger in NetSuite across all entities and branches.
• Journal Entry Review & Approval: Independently reviews and approves manual journal entries before posting, and verifies supporting documents.
• Month-End, Quarter-End & Year-End Close: Leads the close calendar and sign-off checklist, and locks the period once balances are reconciled.
• Reconciliation Oversight: Reviews subledger-to-GL matching and balance sheet schedules and ensures reconciliations are complete at close.
• Financial Statements & Consolidation: Reviews monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and consolidation of all branches.
• Variance Analysis & Management Reporting: Reviews variance analysis, dashboards, and KPIs before release.
• Inventory Costing & Fixed Asset Review: Reviews inventory GL, COGS, cost adjustments, and fixed assets.
• NetSuite Accounting Controls: Defines finance requirements for COA, periods, posting rules, and workflows.
• Tax & Audit Support: Provides Tax Compliance with closed, reconciled data and supports audits.
• Team Leadership: Supervises and develops a five-person financial reporting team.
