Job summary

Elite Headhunting Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Assistant Manager to support the Freight Forwarding Manager in overseeing daily operations, coordinating shipments across air, sea, and land, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

You will lead a team, liaise with clients and carriers, manage documentation, monitor performance, and drive process improvements to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• 5–10 years of solid experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, or Logistics.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role/industry.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transportation regulations.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in freight management software and MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments under pressure.
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Market knowledge and negotiation ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end freight forwarding processes (air, sea, land).
• Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and warehouses for seamless delivery.
• Oversee documentation (bills of lading, customs declarations, shipping instructions).
• Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and provide client updates.
• Support negotiations of freight rates and contracts with carriers.
• Lead, train, and supervise freight forwarding staff.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, costs, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for service quality and cost efficiency.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide proactive logistics solutions.
