Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Director of Finance, Accounting and Reporting to lead global accounting and reporting services within a shared services model. The role oversees 70+ professionals, ensures audit-ready financial results, and partners with Controllership, FP&A, and IT to drive transformation and standardization.

Strong IFRS/US GAAP, SOX, and automation experience are essential. The position emphasizes accountability for period-end close, statutory/regulatory reporting, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; 10+ years of progressive experience in financial control and reporting.
• Experience leading global shared services or multi-location Finance operations; strong governance and transition experience.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP, SOX, risk management, and complex accounting transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Accounting & Reporting across global shared services.
• Oversee period-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and data lineage with strong controls.
• Lead financial reporting, accounting advisory, and audit readiness across entities and regions.
• Drive Finance Transformation, standards, automation, and AI adoption with governance.
