Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Finance Shared Services Transition Manager to drive the move to a shared services operating model for processes within scope. The role focuses on delivering standardized processes, engaging with automation teams, and managing governance dashboards for ongoing updates.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project/program management within financial services, strong communication, and a degree in accounting/finance/business/CS, with Six Sigma/PM certification a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project/program management using leading methodologies
• Transitions Management experience in a service outsourcing environment
• Transformation Project Management in financial services
• Strong oral/written communication with senior officers
• University degree in accounting, finance, business management or CS
• Six Sigma or Project Management Certification is a plus
• MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Word, OneNote

Responsibilities

• Identify shared services opportunities through analysis of process inventories
• Drive standardization within a functional value stream across delivery channels; draft SOPs and job aids
• Collaborate with automation teams to integrate automation into process designs for scalability
• Project manage the transformation into a shared services operating model
• Ensure quality and efficiency benefits are realized when pivoting to shared services
• Governance and dashboards for weekly status updates to stakeholders
• Define success measures for initiatives and contribute to the overall program
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business expectations and requirements
• Mitigate business and operational risk from change
• Ensure robust change management practices are followed
• Act as change agent for organizational, process and people changes
• Assist colleagues in shaping solutions using critical thinking
• Partner with work stream leads to generate innovative solutions
• Participate in strategic planning and translate to initiatives
