Job summary

V2X in the Philippines is seeking an Expediter to perform customs clearance for US Government owned goods, coordinating with local agencies and freight forwarders to ensure compliant clearance processes.

You will ensure adherence to customs laws, arrange transportation and warehousing, and maintain shipment records in ARIMS. English proficiency and prior customs operations experience are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma is required.
• Must be able to speak, write and read English.
• Must be able to obtain a host nation Driver’s License.
• Two (2) years’ experience in Customs Clearing Agent or freight forwarding operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Knowledge of customs laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide necessary approvals for the Customs exemption of all US Military and Government Owned goods, import and export, in accordance with the Defense Cooperation Agreement.
• Authorize the clearance of express carrier shipments and verify contents at location.
• Advise customers on import and export restrictions and regulations.
• Liaise with shipping agents to conform requirements and obtain approvals.
• Notify customers of approval of applicable regulations and arrange for collection.
• Provide tracking of clearance progress and report delays or disapprovals.
• Maintain a database of Forms processed and delivered to customers; daily shipment details entry.
• Maintain ARIMS filing system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
