Job summary

Fleet Management Services Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Crewing Coordinator to manage overall operations of the Container and Tanker Crewing Department.

The role involves coordinating with Head Office and Manning Offices, vessel crews, and the Hong Kong office for interviews, while ensuring data accuracy and smooth crew-change communications. Ideal candidates will have Maritime Studies background, crewing experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Maritime studies degree preferred.
• Experience in crewing department is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate, include others and work in a team.
• Good planning and organizing capabilities.
• Demonstrates initiative and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Head Office and other FML Manning Offices re Crewing matters.
• Communicates with vessels (All Containers and Tankers).
• Receives advice re vessel requirement for Engine Department (All Containers and Tankers).
• Contacts candidates by phone and/or by other means.
• Conducts general interview with ex-crews and/or new applicants.
• Schedules them for further interview, and if necessary, informs Hongkong Office for further interview.
• Prepares and replies to messages.
• Proposes candidates (Officers and crew) to HK Office and other FML Manning Offices.
• Verifies the authenticity of data in the application form (Document verification).
• Receives calls from ships' personnel re crew change inquiries and updates.
