Job summary

Fleet Management Services Philippines, Inc is seeking a Crewing Officer to oversee the overall operations of the Container and Tanker Crewing Department in Manila. You will coordinate with Head Office and Manning Offices, communicate with vessels, and verify candidate data for crewing assignments.

The role requires experience in handling crewing operations within a maritime setting and the ability to manage interviews, document verification, and crew changes, ensuring seamless crew management

Qualifications

• Preferably graduate of Maritime Studies with experience in handling crewing department.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Head Office and other FML Manning Offices re Crewing matters.
• Communicates with vessels (All Containers and Tankers).
• Receives advice re vessel requirement for Engine Department (All Containers and Tankers).
• Maintains active file/crew vacation list.
• Contacts candidates by phone and/or by other means.
• Conducts general interview with ex-crews and/or new applicants. Schedules them for further interview, and if necessary, call and inform Hongkong Office for their (new applicants) further interview.
• Proposes candidates (Officers and crew) to HK Office and other FML Manning Offices.
• Verifies the authenticity of data in the application form (Document verification).
• Receives calls from ships' personnel re crew change inquiries, updates and gives advices in handling some emergency situations.
