Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Backup and Recovery Operations Technician in the Philippines to coordinate global data backup activities, ensure protection, availability, and security of systems, and implement policies for backup, archival, and disaster recovery.

Role covers daily operation, escalation, and automation, with exposure to Windows, Linux, Unix, databases, and virtualization technologies. Collaborative, global team environment with standard procedures and governance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Backup and Recovery technologies.
• Good understanding of Disaster Recovery at server/datacenter level.
• Networking concepts and fundamentals.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware) and storage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage Rubrik Backup and Recovery infrastructure and operations.
• Assist modernization of backup and recovery capabilities.
• Troubleshoot backup/recovery performance and incidents.
• Perform hardware upgrades and resource optimization.
• Provide maintenance to ensure performance, availability and security.
• Configure and manage backup/recovery tooling and SLAs.
• Escalate issues for multiple systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, DBs, NAS, VM infra).
• Develop standards and SOPs; document processes and runbooks.
• Collaborate with PMO on migrations to new backup solutions.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and automation scripts.
