Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience leading analytics, reporting, or business intelligence teams.
• Strong knowledge of SQL query writing and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of database architecture, BI concepts, and reporting methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Oracle BI, SAP Business Objects, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a systematic approach to issue resolution.
• Understanding of data quality principles and the ability to communicate complex data concepts to business users.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality reporting solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with reporting automation, continuous improvement initiatives, and process optimization is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Data Analysts and Report Analysts to achieve operational and business objectives.
• Communicate project priorities, expectations, and work assignments to team members.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and ongoing support to enhance team performance and development.
• Monitor team scorecards, productivity, and performance metrics, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
• Partner with management to support employee career growth, development planning, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, analytics initiatives, and new reporting solutions.
• Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that improve operational performance.
• Manage reporting requests, including report execution, change requests, custom reporting, and incident resolution.
• Investigate data integrity issues and Business Intelligence reporting incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Present analytical findings, business insights, and recommendations to stakeholders through reports and dashboards.
• Identify and implement reporting automation, process improvements, and best practices to increase operational efficiency.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and promote collaboration across teams and departments.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, data quality, governance compliance, and adherence to established standards.
