We are seeking an experienced Global Accounts Payable/P2P Project Manager to lead strategic transformation initiatives across our global Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) organization.

In this role, you will drive complex projects focused on process optimization, system implementations, automation, process standardization, and Shared Service Center (SSC) transitions across multiple regions. Working closely with Finance, Procurement, IT, and other business stakeholders, you will ensure the successful delivery of initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve end-to-end financial processes.

You should be comfortable navigating complex global environments, engaging with senior stakeholders, and translating business requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions that support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AP/P2P transformation initiatives, including process redesign, ERP implementations, automation, and organizational change management.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams across Finance, Procurement, IT, Internal Controls, and Shared Service Centers.
• Apply structured project management methodologies and governance frameworks to drive execution, accountability, and alignment with business objectives.

2. Accounts Payable & P2P Process Excellence

• Serve as a subject matter expert in global Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Drive initiatives to optimize invoice processing, payment execution, supplier management, workflow efficiency, and compliance controls.
• Lead the standardization and harmonization of AP/P2P processes across regions, markets, and business units.
• Establish and monitor project KPIs, service levels, and operational performance metrics to measure project effectiveness.
• Ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency, process controls, and stakeholder experience.

3. Cross-Functional Business Partnership

• Partner with Procurement, Source-to-Pay (S2P), IT, Finance, Treasury, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across end-to-end financial and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with Procurement teams on initiatives impacting supplier management, purchasing workflows, and system integrations.
• Facilitate collaboration between AP, Procurement, and technology teams to identify business requirements and implement scalable solutions.
• Support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives requiring coordination across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Shared Service organizations.

4. IT Systems & Digital Transformation

• Partner with IT teams to implement, enhance, and optimize ERP platforms and AP/P2P technologies.
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational needs.
• Identify and drive opportunities to leverage automation technologies, including workflow solutions, OCR, AI, RPA, and analytics platforms.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions in collaboration with technology teams.
• Support the delivery of technology-enabled improvements that enhance process efficiency, scalability, and data visibility.

5. Shared Services & Continuous Improvement

• Support the establishment, expansion, and optimization of global and regional Shared Service Centers.
• Lead transition and migration initiatives involving the transfer of AP/P2P activities from local markets into shared service environments.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), control frameworks, and training materials.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process excellence methodologies.
• Drive sustainable process improvements that enhance operational performance, standardization, and service delivery.

6. Global Stakeholder & Change Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with global Finance leaders, business partners, and key stakeholders across multiple geographies.
• Provide regular project updates to executive stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, issues, achievements, and key decisions.
• Facilitate workshops, process reviews, and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and support transformation objectives.
• Lead change management activities to promote stakeholder engagement, adoption, and successful implementation of new processes and technologies.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Dual qualifications or academic background combining IT and Accounting/Finance are highly preferred.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent is an advantage.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, Finance Transformation, or Shared Services.
• At least 5 years of project management experience leading global or regional initiatives.
• Proven experience supporting, establishing, or optimizing Shared Service Centers.
• Demonstrated success in leading ERP implementations, system migrations, or finance transformation projects.
• Experience working in multinational organizations with stakeholders across multiple regions and geographies.
• Proven track record of delivering complex cross-functional projects and sustainable process improvements.

Technical & Functional Expertise

• Strong knowledge of global Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Experience with ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Workday, or similar solutions.
• Understanding of finance automation technologies, workflow solutions, and data analytics platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills are preferred.
