Job summary

Emerson invites a detail-oriented General Ledger professional to join our finance team in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. You will handle bank reconciliations, GL accounting, fixed assets, journal entries, and support audits with accurate reporting and controls.

You’ll collaborate with internal and external customers, drive process improvements, and contribute to reliable financial statements while upholding GAAP and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of general accounting experience including bank reconciliation, fixed assets, cash receipts application, intercompany transactions, and credit collection.

Responsibilities

• Perform a bank reconciliation to protect the organization's assets.
• Validate the accuracy of cash transactions, verify discrepancies, and resolve reconciling transactions.
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and analyze transactions to validate accuracy through vouching for source details.
• Generate reports and perform analysis of accounts to resolve potential mis recording of transactions prior to finalization of financials.
• Maintain audit trail of supporting documents for audit requirements and post Journal entries to restate account balances.
• Perform Fixed Assets Accounting, asset recognition, depreciation, retirement, transfer, and write-off.
• Conduct training and prepare or update process documentation to capture improvements.
• Apply appropriate internal controls in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures (CP&P) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
