Job summary

STARBREAKER CORP seeks an experienced General Ledger (GL) Analyst to ensure accuracy of financial records by managing general ledger transactions, posting journal entries, and performing account reconciliations. The role supports reporting to Operations and aids in closing processes.

Based in Makati and on-site, the analyst will ensure compliance with internal controls, assist in audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely, reliable financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years in general ledger accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Perform account analyses and reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Reconcile aggregators and payment channels against POS reports and bank deposits.
• Review P&L data and identify variances.
• Provide financial reporting support to Operations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure internal controls and accounting policy compliance.
• Support audits with required documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate and timely data.

Job Title: General Ledger (GL) Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced GL Analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records by managing general ledger transactions, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations. This role also involves preparing and reporting financial results to Operations to support business decision-making. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing
• Perform account analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and collections
• Perform reconciliation of aggregator and payment channels (e.g., Foodpanda, Grab, GCash, Maya, and other digital platforms) by comparing settlement reports against POS records and bank deposits, and investigating any variances
• Review and analyze profit and loss data to ensure accuracy and identify variances
• Prepare and provide financial reporting support to Operations
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentationCollaborate with Operations and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS)
