Job summary

Greenology Innovations Inc in the Philippines seeks an experienced auditor/accountant to audit the work of accounting personnel, review reports for accuracy, and ensure timely submission of reports. The role requires independence with limited guidance and a focus on strengthening internal controls.

You will liaise with external accountants, maintain a documented system of accounting policies, oversee BIR filings/returns and related compliance, review receipts and invoicing, and prepare a monthly

Responsibilities

• Audit the work of accounting personnel, and review reports to ensure accuracy.
• Ensures that submission of reports of all accounting personnel is done on time, investigates the cause of delay for delayed submissions, and makes a proper recommendation.
• Assists external accountants and provides the required information for the annual audit upon approval of the President.
• Act as the main focal person with any correspondence with the external accountants
• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintains accounting archives based on BIR regulations and ensures that documents, invoices, receipts, etc are well kept and easy to find when needed
• Ensure that all customers that deduct withholding taxes issue a corresponding 2307 within the same quarter.
• BIR Filing and remittances (monthly, quarterly, and Annual returns, BIR Relief, BIR alpha list, EBIR & EFPS function, SEC eFAST, etc.)
• Audit monthly the issuance of receipts to clients and ensure that the receipts match the type of invoice issued.
• Audit collection of 2307 forms every quarter
• Audit all expense reports, ensuring their compliance with company policies every quarter.
• Audit expense and disbursement report submitted to the external accountants
• Audit Sales reports submitted to the external accountants and ensure that all invoiced sales are properly recorded
• Audit Lubes, Appurtenances, and Consumables Inventory report of Warehouse Department, report variances if any.
• Evaluate all accounts payable balances every quarter and resolve all issues regarding unpaid invoices.
• Work independently, with the limited required guidance.
• Identify process improvements that lead to cost savings or revenue enhancement opportunities
• Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.
• Support the overall objective and goal of the management
• Ensure that all audit records and documentation are accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review and recommend changes in internal audit controls.
• Prepare a monthly detailed report on audit findings.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
