Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Financial Reporting and Tax Team Lead in Metro Manila to oversee timely preparation and review of portfolio-level accounting and tax deliverables. You will coach staff, coordinate with onshore/offshore stakeholders, and drive process improvements to ensure accurate statements and compliant tax reporting.

You will lead audits and tax packs preparation, mentor new hires, and maintain robust operating procedures to support client and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CA/CPA).
• At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, tax, or audit.
• Experience preparing or reviewing reconciled trial balances and financial statements.
• Understanding of IFRS and core financial reporting principles.
• Experience preparing taxable income calculations for distributions.
• Experience supporting annual tax return preparation and indirect tax filings.
• Demonstrated ability to review others' work and provide clear feedback.
• Demonstrated leadership through mentoring, training, or leading initiatives.
• Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review reconciled trial balances and financial statements for completeness and accuracy.
• Support preparers by guiding processes and deliverable requirements, including audit packs and tax schedules.
• Perform quality checks on deliverables and tax filings.
• Manage deliverable timelines across daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
• Prepare deliverables during capacity constraints to ensure continuity.
• Coordinate with onshore/offshore stakeholders to resolve dependencies.
• Ensure timely, accurate stakeholder responses and clear documentation.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures with recertification.
• Lead knowledge-sharing and continuous learning to reduce errors.
• Train and mentor new team members through regular coaching.
• Drive process enhancements and productivity initiatives within team governance.
