Job summary

Philippine Global Communications, Inc. is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to provide frontline technical assistance, maintain IT infrastructure, and support operations for systems, hardware, and software in the Metro Manila area.

You will install and configure hardware, operating systems, and network equipment, troubleshoot issues, provide desktop support on-site and remotely, perform routine updates and backups, and document configurations for internal tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's / College Degree in Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication), Computer Science / Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT-related software and hardware.
• At least 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) experience in an IT Department.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to resolving technical issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to assist end-users effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and network equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day IT software, hardware, and network connection issues.
• Provide prompt desktop support and technical assistance to end-users both on-site and remotely.
• Perform routine system updates, back-ups, and preventative maintenance on company devices.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations for internal tracking.
