Job summary

Spinneys Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Freight & Clearing Lead to coordinate imports, freight movements and delivery schedules across its stores. The role collaborates with suppliers, freight forwarders, brokers, warehouses and internal teams to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field, at least 5 years in freight forwarding or customs clearance, and strong Excel/SAP skills plus excellent

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, customs clearing, logistics or import/export admin.
• Experience in retail, FMCG or supermarket sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor incoming shipments from suppliers to warehouse destinations.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines and regulators.
• Prepare, review and maintain all import and clearing documentation.
• Track shipment progress and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
• Verify freight, duty, customs and clearing invoices for accuracy.
• Resolve delays, documentation issues and clearance discrepancies.

About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight & Clearing Lead to join our growing supermarket team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating imports, freight movements, customs clearance, and delivery schedules to ensure products are efficiently received and available across our stores. You will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to support uninterrupted supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor incoming shipments from suppliers to warehouse destinations.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare, review, and maintain all import and clearing documentation.
• Track shipment progress and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
• Verify freight, duty, customs, and clearing invoices for accuracy.
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, and clearance discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams regarding delivery schedules and stock arrivals.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping documents and logistics transactions.
• Monitor logistics costs and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding, customs clearing, logistics, or import/export administration.
• Experience in the retail, FMCG, supermarket, or wholesale industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and shipping documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
